# Level 2

## Description

In Level 2 students learn to add and subtract numbers up to 20 without needing to carry or borrow. Simple addition and subtraction problems are introduced gradually. As students gain confidence, EtutorBoard fully introduces the concept of zero in this level. Toward the end of Level 2, EtutorBoard introduces concepts to help students become comfortable with numbers up to 100.

 Sub Levels Description Comments Level 2.1 Review from current and previous levels. Continues to strengthen and reinforce the foundation of concepts learned in previous sections. Level 2.2 Basic addition and subtraction of numbers up to 20. In this sublevel students practice addition of numbers with sums up to 20 that do not require carrying. Students will also learn subtraction of numbers up to 20 that do not require borrowing. Level 2.3 Introduction to Zero. In this sublevel students become familiarized with the concept of zero in a variety of ways. EtutorBoard introduces these concepts using addition and subtraction problems involving zero, such as 10 - 10 = ?, 6 - 0 = ?, and 5 + 0 = ?. Level 2.4 Review from current and previous levels. Reviews generally help the student to master the basic concepts. In the early stages of learning the students need to review the basic concepts several times so that they develop mastery in the basic number system and arithmetic. Level 2.5 Introduction of numbers up to 100. In this sublevel students are introduced to numbers up to 100 with simple addition and subtraction of small numbers with big numbers up to 100. Example: 78 + 5 = ____63 - 3 = ____.
