Level 5

Description

Students will solidify two- and three-digit addition and subtraction problems. Students will be introduced to several arithmetic patterns and problem solving techniques. Students will become familiarized with arithmetical properties and their relationships with numbers. Also, the students are introduced to basic concepts of multiplication.

Level 5.1

Addition and subtraction with regrouping.

Through plenty of practice, students will become very comfortable with addition and subtraction of numbers up to 1000 by the end of this section.

Level 5.2

Introduction to multiplication through its relation to repetitive addition.

Students start developing a strong foundation for multiplication skills.

Level 5.3

Review from current and previous levels.

Continues to strengthen and reinforce the foundation of concepts learned in previous sections.

Level 5.4

Arithmetical properties of addition and subtraction and order of operations of numbers.

In this section the students will learn concepts relating to order of operations, as well as other arithmetical properties of addition and subtraction.

Level 5.5

Introduction to Multiplication, Inverse properties of Multiplication and Division.
