ETutorBoard's curriculum experts thoroughly researched today's needs in mathematics, supplementary education, and testing in the United States. In addition, we reviewed several states' curricula in the US, as well as those used in countries renowned for their mathematically strong educational systems, such as Korea, India, and Singapore, in order to carefully construct the Supplementary Mathematics curriculum for ETutorBoard.

3. Is it the same as my child's school curriculum?

No. ETutorBoard will not replace your child's school's curriculum. This will strengthen their mathematical expertise, provide confidence for better performance, and reinforce the foundation necessary to succeed with class work and educational tests. The ETutorBoard program is akin to a training program for a sport, which offers guidance and a plan toward a higher level of performance.

4. Does ETutorBoard have word problems?

Yes. ETutorBoard is continually creating many new word problems for our mathematical library. These problems are included as part of the "homework" portion of sublevels.

5. Up to what grade is currently supported?

ETutorBoard currently goes up to Level 12, which will support students with their mathematics through middle school - up through grades 8.

6. Does ETutorBoard have curriculum for home schooling?

Yes. Current curriculum can be used for home schooling as supplementary mathematics.

7. Are there only a fixed number of math problems?

No. ETutorBoard has hundreds of thousands of problems for each level. For all practical purposes, the number is unlimited. ETutorBoard generates each student's new problems based on how well the student answers previous questions. The problems will be generated by ETutorBoard to be complex, or easy, as per that particular student's performance on recent and previous assignments and the current progress rate.

8. Will ETutorBoard help my child do better on standardized tests?

Results show that students who subscribe to supplementary curricula and improve their base skills do fare well on these types of tests.

9. What kinds of techniques does ETutorBoard use to develop students' skills?

ETutorBoard takes advantage of state of the art computer technology toward improving students' skills. The program "understands" how each student is progressing in the current level, and based on the performance of the student, it adjusts the complexity and number of problems to the student's current learning needs. Secondly, ETutorBoard helps the student develop enough confidence to fare better in testing situations. Repetition and daily practice are well known techniques in skill development.

10. What level of parental involvement is required?

Parental involvement is always helpful for a child's success. In the beginning parents can encourage their children to complete the assignments every day and assist them to respond to verbal prompts from the system. The student and the parent will receive reminders if assignments are missed for three consecutive days or more.

12. Why do I see the same problems, or the same pattern of problems, always repeated?

The problems that are generated for an assignment are of a similar type, but generally are not identical. Repetition of a skill is a well-known technique used in skill development for thousands of years. It is a proven method. Based on the student's responses to earlier problem sets, ETutorBoard produces similar types of problems at each level to ensure that the student becomes comfortable and successful in that specific area of mathematics over time. It helps the student to master a skill set and to increase the child's confidence level.

13. How many assignments can a student do daily?

ETutorBoard recommends students to do at least one assignment a day. A student may work on up to a maximum of three assignments a day.

14. Is it necessary for a student to do all three assignments every day?

Doing three assignments each day will help students increase their skill sets and confidence level more rapidly.

15. Which matters more: speed of completion or accuracy of completion?

Both. A student who develops skills in improving both accuracy and speed will do very well in school and on standardized tests such as the SAT and state tests.

16. What will happen if my child misses an assignment?

If your child misses an assignment one day, please encourage your child to make sure to do the assignment the next day. Since it is available via Internet, you can get ETutorBoard anywhere in the world to complete the assignments. Completing the work regularly is a key to success. This will improve the discipline, confidence, and expertise for any mathematics student.

No. ETutorBoard is an online math program that customizes the learning of mathematics to your child's individual needs.

ETutorBoard is a scalable online platform that assigns an electronic tutor (ETutor) for each student as soon as the student registers with the platform. As the student logs in daily the assigned ETutor will guide him/her in learning mathematics through using the millions of dynamically curated math problem sets with links to internationally recognized tutorials.

Our specialized learning system based on artificial intelligence gives us a marked edge over hundreds of general math websites and apps. Our system creates dynamic problems based on successive progression: If the student struggles; it simplifies the problem sets, if the student excels; it poses challenging problems. When needed it gives appropriate hints. It gives flexibility for teachers and parents in control over the learning behavior and in-depth monitoring of learning trends of the students.

23. Why do I register with ETutorBoard?

Our specialized learning system based on artificial intelligence individually tracks a student’s performance and develop the set of math problems specific to the student’s learning behavior. This requires the student to register with our learning system so that we can assign a separate electronic tutor for the student. During registration our system will ask very simple basic questions to jump start a student.

In addition, registration allows the student to access unlimited number of math problems in a daily basis.

24. You are mentioning about Artificial Intelligence based tutor. How it works? As a student how do I improve my learning?

Once you register yourselves or your student with ETutorBoard

You will be prompted to enter additional details of the student:

1. Age
2. Country
3. Current Grade/Standard
4. Time zone of the student

These are the only personal information we gather along with login information. Once you enter these data our platform will create a unique profile and an electronic tutor for the student. You will then be asked to take up to three assessment tests to place you in an appropriate level within the ETutorBoard System. Once you have completed all the assigned tests, your assigned electronic tutor will analyze the accuracy, knowledge, speed, and assign a level and a sublevel within the system for you to start learning.

After this initial process as a student you will login every day to ETutorBoard. You assigned electronic tutor will prepare three sets of problems everyday based on the student’s current learning behavior. To help students learn we provide links to relevant tutorials. We recommend that students login every day and complete assigned problem sets for that day. Our AI based system will automatically promote the student from one sublevel to another sublevel as they improve and then from one level to another level until the student progresses through all the math subjects in the system.

Generally a student who registers with us in the KG/1st grade level can work in our system for the next nine years up to 9th grade level supplementary math.

25. What are my daily activities? Who will assign those activities?

Your daily activities are assigned to you by your electronic tutor based on your current level in the system.

The entire subject is grouped into levels and each level is grouped into multiple sublevels. In ETutorBoard we developed our curriculum for math subject after analyzing the syllabus of various school districts in various countries.

Depending on where you are in the learning, these activities can be either practice activities, or home work activities, or sub level tests, or final tests for the level.

26. How do I progress in this system and how I will be graded?

1. The system will generate problem sets with hints for some time (3 activities per day). This is called practice mode. Once the system understands that the student is able to solve problems without hints and on a timely manner it will automatically switch the student to Homework mode.
2. In Homework mode, the hints are switched off. The student has to complete the activities (3 activities per day) without hints.
3. The electronic tutor assigned to the student internally in the system grades the student every day in every activity in both Practice and Homework modes. This is done by continuously measuring several metrics including 1. Number of problems attempted, 2. Number of problems completed, 3. Number of problems the student correctly answered, 4. How fast the student is in answering each problem, along with a few metrics tied to the completed problem sets. The electronic tutor uses this information to build subsequent problem sets, along with the number of days the student should be in Practice and Homework modes.
4. Once the system understands that the student is ready to complete the sublevel, it will assign an Intermediate (Sublevel) Test. The student will be given a few attempts to pass the tests.
5. Once the student pass the sublevel, the student will be assigned to the next sublevel. This process will keep going on automatically from each sublevel to the next sublevel until the students completes all the sublevels in the level.
6. Once the student has completed all the sublevels, the student will be assigned a Final Test by the system. In this final test the student will be tested for the all the subjects he/she learned in that level.
7. If the student fails in the final test, the electronic tutor will know what areas the student needs practice in and will train the student in those areas for a few more days and promote the student to the next level.
8. Once the student passes the final test, the system will automatically move the student to the next level in the system.
9. This process continues until the student completes all the levels in the subject.
